Robert Cancro, M.D., President and Treasurer

Dr. Cancro is the Lucius N. Littauer Professor of Psychiatry and Chairman Emeritus at New York University’s Langone Medical Center and School of Medicine. He has been active in the World Psychiatric Association and had served as a consultant to the World Health Organization for a number of years, the U.S. Secret Service, and the New York Yankees.

Francis Mas, M.D., Vice President

Dr. Mas is Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at New York University’s Langone Medical Center and School of Medicine. He is a graduate of New York University as well as Montpellier University (France). His clinical interests are focused on the diagnosis and treatment of mood disorders.

Gloria Cancro, Secretary

Writer Gloria Franklin Cancro is wife to Dr. Cancro and has long been involved with issues pertaining to mental health care.

Eric Alexander

Mr. Alexander is President of Institutional Services at Wall Street Access, A graduate of Emerson College, he serves on its Board of Trustees as well as the Lay Advisory Board of the International Committee Against Mental Illness (ICAMI).

John Bolebruch

Mr. Bolebruch is a senior financial executive at Credit Suisse. He sits on the Boards of the International Committee Against Mental Illness (ICAMI), Treatment Online, and the Lower Eastside Family Union, where he is Chair.  

Gary Robert Collins, M.D

Dr.Collins is a Clinical Instructor in the department of psychiatry at New York University’s Langone Medical Center and School of Medicine. Dr. Collins also serves as Director of the NYU/Bellevue Court-Mandated Outpatient Treatment Program and Principal of the NYU, School of Medicine fellowship training program in Psychiatry and the Law.

Rex Coons

Rex Coons is a wealth advisor with UBS.  Mr. Coons was educated at Williams College and has graduate degrees from New York and Columbia Universities.

Barbara Girard*

Ms. Girard is active in number of causes and has produced events for charitable endeavors. She is particularly devoted to issues related to mental health.

Susanna Goldstein, M.D.

Dr. Goldstein is Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at New York University’s Langone Medical Center and School of Medicine. She is in private practice in New York and has a particular interest in mood and anxiety disorders.   

Brian Herbst

Mr. Herbst is currently Senior Vice President of Shields and Company. He acts as a portfolio manager and is in charge of new business development for The Herbst Group, New York. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The George Washington University. He is also involved with the 2nd Stage Theater Company, Hassenfeld Center, the International Committee Against Mental Illness (ICAMI), and NYU Hospital.

Abe Shainberg, Esq.

Mr. Shainberg is a lawyer as well as a producer and entertainer. Mr. Shainberg holds a law degree from St. Johns University and has specialized in business law and intellectual property. He is also a past Executive Director of the Diamond Dealers Club, Inc., the largest diamond trade association and exchange in New York.

Maria Snyder

Ms. Snyder is recognized as a visionary trend setter and as one of the first to bring a pro-environment stance to her design initiatives. From modeling to a career as a top innovator with her own fashion label, Maria’s collections had been featured in the finest magazines and stores worldwide. She has now turned her gifts to creating brands that "Make A Difference”, as well as being claimed as a “Leader for a New Generation of Artists for Peace,” as her works of art currently hang in foundations and hospitals around the globe.

Sandra Wasserman

Ms. Wasserman is President of Wasserman Investors Corporation and Director of the Sandra and Bert W. Wasserman Family Foundation. She is also an interior designer and past Board member of the American Cancer Society and the Heckscher Museum of Art. A graduate of Baruch College, Ms. Wasserman now serves on its Board.

Eugene West, M.D.

Eugene West, M.D. is a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at New York University’s Langone Medical Center and School of Medicine. He received his B.A. in psychobiology from Bowdoin College and M.D. from the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Dr. West is an international speaker for Pfizer Inc, and he has lectured worldwide.
